BLM Signing Project Help Needed May 11 & 12

The BLM price field office is going to have another signing project in the Chimney Rock area. We plan to do the project on Friday May 11^th and Saturday May 12^th. We will meet at 9:00 AM both days, just off Highway 6 on the green river cut off road where we put the new kiosk.

Please bring the appropriate (personal protective equipment) PPE

PPE consists of:

Gloves, glasses or goggles, boots, long pants, long sleeve shirt, if riding OHV please bring a helmet and any other PPE you would like to have.

We will also be working out in the field so remember to bring plenty of water, lunch, and any other things you personally may need.

We will be riding along the trails marking all of the designated routes with carsonites and stickers.

Please bring a 4×4 vehicle, or ATV, motorcycle, or UTV. A good way to carry some carsonites and tools may also be good to bring with you if you can.

BLM Holding a Meeting for Recreation Planning May 9th

The BLM Price Field Office will be holding a Meeting for recreation planning on May 9^th 2012 at 6:00 P.M. The meeting will be in Emery County at the Castle Dale City Hall, (old court house), in the Swell room upstairs. The address is 61 East 100 North Castle Dale UT. We would like to invite anyone who is interested in Recreation to attend this monthly meeting.

Non-Motorized Trailhead project in Huntington Canyon

The Manti LaSal National Forest Service is taking public comments on a
Non-Motorized Trailhead project in Huntington Canyon. The project includes:
Horse Canyon Trailhead, Mill Canyon Trailhead @ Engineer Canyon, and a
proposed extension of a non-motorized trail (Forest Trail #5958) that
parallels Highway SR31. The extension would travel approximately 1/2 mile
from Mill Fork to the proposed new trailhead @ Engineer Canyon.
These are much needed improvements and would not only serve the equestrian
users, but also bicycle riders and hikers.

BRC just received a program update from the Chad Booth and the folks over at At Your Leisure. Chad wanted everyone to know that Sunday, January 15, 2012, County Seat TV will be doing a one hour show on Wilderness.

I know Chad and the staff at AYL/TCS have been working for many months on this. Never before has any Utah media outlet devoted this much time to fully investigate the many ramifications and impacts of Wilderness. This show is a must-watch for anyone who recreates on public lands.

The program will air Sunday, January 15, 2012, on ABC Channel 4 in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas, from at 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Those living outside the broadcast range of Channel 4 can watch online at County Seat TV .

Set your TiVo and your VCR recorders folks. Sunday, January 15, 2012, County Seat will be a MUST WATCH for all OHV users in Utah.
